Anne Raimondi
1926 - 2019
Anne was proud of being the only child in her Italian-American family, born in America, born on June 14th (Flag Day) and, Baptized on July 4th, Married February 12th, the date known as President Lincoln’s birthday.
Anne was a Rosie the Riveter in the 1940’s during WWII. Anne worked in Washburn Wire Factory in East Harlem where they produced wire for the trains and vehicles used by the G.I.’s. Â
Mrs. Raimondi had a well-paying job in advertising on Madison Avenue. The Catholic schools were busting at the seams, and the Pastor of St Francis of Assisi Parish asked Mrs. Raimondi to teach in the school. Mrs. Raimondi’s compassion and love of GOD, this country and people (especially children) became her torch throughout the 40 years she taught.

Anne's Congressional Tribute
After years of educating the young and sculpting the minds of many of New York's young and impressionable, Anne retired to Florida. However, once retired Anne realized that the passion for God and teaching still burned in her heart and she embarked to educate the young in Catholicism at St. Bonaventure Parish in Davie, Florida. Anne became an active member of the St. Bonaventure Parish and was beloved by all that she came in contact with.
